1. Turn optional analytics on or off
Open Workspace Tools → Privacy & Analytics in DeciTerra. The available choices are:
- Not Chosen: no optional product events are sent.
- Enabled: fixed anonymous events and coarse allowlisted properties may be sent.
- Disabled: no future optional product events are sent.
Turning analytics off does not affect Free functionality or an active Pro entitlement. It does not cancel your Apple subscription. Subscription management remains separate through Apple.
2. What turning analytics off does
Turning analytics off stops future optional analytics. It does not automatically delete historical analytics that was collected while analytics was enabled. Historical analytics deletion is a separate privacy request.
Optional analytics is not used for advertising or tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
Project names, case names, descriptions, responses, evidence, complete cases, detailed risk outputs, exact financial values, exact purchasing-power-equivalent values, email addresses, personal identity, screenshots, and free text are not included in optional analytics payloads.
3. Find, copy, or reset your identifier
Open Workspace Tools → Privacy & Analytics → Anonymous Analytics Identifier.
- Use Copy Identifier to obtain the current DeciTerra app-specific anonymous analytics identifier for a deletion request.
- Use Reset Anonymous Identifier to create a new identifier for future optional events.
Resetting the identifier is not the same as deleting historical analytics. It does not delete events already associated with the previous identifier, and it does not delete local cases, versions, or responses.
4. Request historical analytics deletion
Email privacy@prismlab.studio with:
- the subject DeciTerra analytics deletion request;
- the copied anonymous analytics identifier; and
- a contact address for the completion response.
A valid and locatable analytics deletion request targets processing within 30 days after the anonymous identifier is received. This is a processing target, not an unconditional guarantee. The identifier—not your email address—is used to locate the analytics records.
This request concerns optional anonymous analytics only. Local case deletion is a separate action in the app. Do not send project content, financial values, passwords, payment details, Apple credentials, or other sensitive information.
5. Retention and contact
Anonymous product analytics may be retained for up to 7 years, unless deleted earlier in response to a valid privacy request. Irreversibly aggregated, non-user-level statistics may be retained longer.
